The general overseer and founder of God’s Greater Grace General Assembly, Intl Incorporated, Benin, Rev. Sunny Akenbor has urged Christians to seek for wisdom above all things, saying that, it will save them from a lot of troubles.
He said this while speaking on the theme “Wisdom for defence ” at the Sunday church service in Benin City.
In his homily taking from the book of Ecclesiastes 7:12, James 1: 5, Proverbs 13:20 and other relevant portions of the bible, the clergyman said believers can get their wisdom from God, walking with wise people and through reading of various books.
According to him in the book of Ecclesiastes 7:12, For wisdom is a defence and money is a defence: but the excellence of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it”
Rev. Akenbor said a lot of persons have found themselves in a bigger problem today because they lack wisdom.
Akenbor said that the absence of wisdom makes believers to always be on the reactionary side, instead of being proactive.
He appealed to Christians not to take decision when they are happy or angry but always think before they speak to avoid unnecessary regret.
He urged them to always ask God who is the giver of wisdom to grant them wisdom for it, is the principal thing in life adding that, King Solomon in the bible asked God for wisdom and He granted him above what he ever imagined and asked for.
The cleric said that, that same God is still very much in the business of answering prayers and meeting the needs of His children.
