Kidnappers have reportedly killed a bank branch Manager of one of the new generation banks, John Otobo, in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.
According to multiple reports making the rounds on the social media platforms, said, the families of John Otobo, managed to mop up and pay the sum of N8 million as ransom demanded by the abductors after his abduction but only to recovered the lifeless body of their son the next day.
It was said that he lost his life to a kidnapped syndicate along Uromi/Agbor road on the 27th March, 2024.
It was also said that John Otobo hails from ward 05, Udoneria community in Igueben Local Government Area of the state.
When contacted, the Edo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor said he should be given the time to find out from the Divisional Police Officer in Igueben.
