The Edo State Labour Party (LP), youth leader, Mr Onaghise Osaretin Daniel-Ero has sued for peace among the youths of the party ahead of the state gubernatorial election slated for September 21 in the state.
He made the call in Benin while reacting to the alleged attack on the person of Mr. Ken Omusi, the former youth leader of the party.
According to Onaghise, the Labour Party is well known for peace and similarly warned those behind the violence attack on the former youth leader to desist from such act because it doesn’t portray the party in a good light.
Onaghise said that the Labour Party that he knows is the party that has value for the sanctity of humanity and will not condescend to the level of attacking anyone let alone its member whether serving punishment or not.
He however appeal to the youths not to give room to outsiders who do not know the workings of the party to use them to create trouble for the party noting that, he is confident that the attack on the former youth leader of the party might not have been carried out by the members of the party.
The youth leader further said the youths who he refers to as the pillar of the party should not be distracted but should remain focus on the election ahead to enable it emerge victorious at the poll.
He also strongly condemned the gloomy flier which claimed the former youth leader of the party has transited, adding that the youths of the party are known for peace and will pursue that to the letter.
He called on those circulating the obituary picture of the former youth leader of the party to stop forthwith and pray for his speedy recovery from the attack.
