Hon. Sergius Ogun: The Man Who Saw Tomorrow

By Innocent Okoh

The devastating fire that ravaged Jattu market near Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, on January 21, 2025, left business owners in unimaginable grief.

As I reflected on the tragedy, my thoughts turned to Hon. Sergius Ogun, who is currently vying for the Senatorial seat representing Edo Central under the Labour Party.

As a former member representing Esan South East/Esan North East federal constituency, Hon. Ogun demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of his people by facilitating the construction of a fire service station with well-equipped machines at Ubiaja, in Esan South East LGA of the state.

This proactive measure was initially met with skepticism by some critics, but its value has become evident in combating recent fire outbreaks in the area.

The Jattu market fire highlights the importance of prioritizing the welfare and development of the region.

As the people of Edo Central prepare to elect their next Senator, it is crucial to look beyond party affiliations and selfish interests.

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the people’s needs and a proven track record of delivering on promises.

Hon. Sergius Ogun’s experience and vision makes him an exceptional candidate for the position.

His dedication to the well-being of his constituents and his ability to deliver on his mandates, demonstrate that he is indeed the man who saw tomorrow.
