A Nigerian comedian, Japheth Orobosa Efosa, alias Young Elder and Grand Comedian of the Federal Republic (GCFR ), has revealed a bitter truth about himself, saying that life was not a bed of roses for him while growing up in a struggling polygamous home.

He said this while speaking with journalists on his journey to stardom in Benin City.

Efosa said he almost gave up in life but the Nigerian spirit of perseverance kept him and has taken him to the stage he has eventually attained in life noting that the Nigerian youths can also learn from him and be a leading voice in the country.

“Growing up in a struggling polygamous family was tough for me.

“Living my dream was almost impossible, but I persevered and resolved that once I became somebody in the society that I must contribute my quota to the upliftment of others.

“My preference here is the elderly whom I mimic and whose image and wisdom I depict in my comedy”, Efosa said.
