It was like a funfair of sorts as wife of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Edo State chapter, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ighodalo took to Mission road and other streets of Benin City to galvanize votes for her husband, Asue Ighodalo ahead of the governorship election in the state.

The road show which has a funny character like a giant King Kong and with other women dressed in the party’s T-shirt, face-cap and other paraphernalia danced to the Asue Ighodalo’s jingles which were played repeatedly.

Addressing those who have abandoned their wares to listen to her (wife of governorship candidate), she introduced herself as the wife of the governorship candidate of the PDP, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ighodalo.

Mrs. Ighodalo who spoke in Ibo language to drive down her message to them, told them that she is one of them and that they should vote for her husband come September 21 in the governorship election.

She told them that they have no reason to regret it as one of the lines in the jingle has clearly stated “if Asue enter you go prosper”

Mrs. Ighodalo who showed her dancing skill while on the motor cade, distributed face-caps to those who trooped out to participate in the roadshow and the on-lookers.

Mrs. Ighodalo encouraged those who participated in the roadshow to dance telling them that the best dancers would get face-caps.

The wife of the governorship candidate in demonstration of her motherly love, care and concern for those who have participated in the roadshow, called for those selling water to give to them to quench their thirstiness.
