The general overseer and founder of God’s Greater Grace General Assembly Intl Incorporated, Benin, Rev. Sunny Akenbor, has eulogized the sterling qualities of late Madam Lucy Igbinosa Omozee nee Obasogie, describing her as Dorcas in the bible who took care of the less privileged while on earth.

He gave the eulogy while speaking on the topic: “The greatest rewards” at the Sunday church service which coincided with the Thanksgiving Service for the late madam Lucy.

Reading from the book of Matthew 25:22-27 which speaks to talents and their utilizations, Rev. Akenbor said some were given talents according to their capabilities, stressing that when others chose to have increased in whatever they were given, one decided to make his own redundant and this angered the giver.

Akenbor said late madam Lucy was a good trader who traded with her talent and made profit from it.

He said madam Lucy was a member of the church who never held any positions but was more committed and dedicated to the things of God than those holding one position or the other.

He further likened her to Dorcas in the bible who saw to the needs of the less privileged in the church in her time.

The clergyman added that late madam Lucy has done her beat and has gone to receive her greater reward in heaven.

He said rewards are what one gets after rendering of services adding that, it could either be a good one or a bad one, depending on what kind of services that have been offered by the individual.

The general overseer of the church said that as for that of the late Lucy, hers is a good reward because of the life she led and the services rendered to God while on earth.

He further admonished the children she left behind to emulate their late mother and work out their salvation with fear and trembling because the good works of their late mother cannot guarantee them heaven because salvation is personal.

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”, Philippians 2:12.

He also urged the children of the departed matriarch to fight a good fight of faith like their late mother.

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses”, 1 Timothy 6:12.

Newstracktoday reports that late madam Lucy Omozee died at the ripe age of 95.
