The Delta State Government at Government House Annex Warri has disrobed Barrister Emakunu, Alex Anonokor and Efe Young Ukuedejor who were allegedly Installed as Chiefs by some members of the Idjerhe Central Council of Chiefs at the Oguedion.
The matter was earlier treated at Asaba the Delta State capital based on the petition received by the Governor, His Excellency, RT Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori who directed the Peace Building and Conflict Resolution Department under the special adviser Sir Chief Edwin Uzor to treat with despatch, the lingering crisis in Idjere Kingdom.
Briefing newsmen after the resolution of the matter, the Special Adviser, Sir Chief Edwin Uzor JP maintained that the state will not tolerate any form of crisis rearing its ugly head in any form.
Flanked by full knowledgeable Peace Building Officials – Chief Duncan Ewhere, E .A., Chief Benson Okorodudu E. A, Chief Augustine Atiti EA and Chief Abraham Ojighoro SSA, all resolved to conclude the matter today.
Also, the Special Adviser ruled that as far as the Idjere Kingdom is concerned, no sub clan is superior to the other. Therefore, the Unugbrogodo and Unuevwolo of Idjere Central have their authority limited to their traditional constituency since there is Oguedion at Onyobru and Boboroku respectively.
Therefore it was wrong for Chief Solomon Ojariafe, Unuevwolo of Idjere Central to number his vehicle with Unuevwolo of Idjere Kingdom. He was strongly advised against it.
The Special Adviser cautioned all the erring chiefs to put up good behaviour and approach the monarch to regularize their titles, but until then, none of them is a chief.
In the other hand, the Ovie was advised to consult with his Chiefs with the spirit of working together in the interest of the kingdom.
In synergy, the kingdom was given three months within which to put a strong committee to come up with CD. Such committee should have the following government officials as members, vis-a-vis Chief Anthony Akpomiemie, Chief Benson Okorodudu and Chief Augustine Atiti.
He added that the Council of Chief should go back to the monarch and practice peace as no Kingdom will move forward without peace.
He then advised the disrobed chiefs to go back to the Kingdom and follow the due process.
