Tongues have begun to wag in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State as a-52-year-old man, Ugoegu Nwaji, a native of Onunwakpu Igbeagu in the state,
after two years, dug up his late younger brother’s skull and sold it for N12,000.
The state Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp(NSCDC), Francis Nnadi who paraded the suspect, a hunter at the headquarters of the corp in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, said the man sold the skull to a native doctor for ritual purposes.
According to Nnadi, Nwaji exhumed the remains of his younger brother, Ogor Mmboyi and sold the skull to the native doctor, Nwodo Nwenyi, who needed it to perform Okite money rituals for his clients.
“The skull was found at the shrine of Nwenyi at same address. The said brother died two years ago according to the hunter,” he said.
