Claim Of No Presence Of ADC In Edo, Laughable, Party Chairman, Odion Replies Tenebe

The Chairman, African Democratic Congress (ADC), Edo State chapter, Mr. Kennedy Odion, has said that the ADC remains a party to be reckoned with in the forthcoming election in the state and across the country.

He also said it is laughable for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to have said that the ADC as a party doesn’t exist in the state.

He said this while reacting to the claim by the state chairman of APC, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe that the ADC doesn’t exist in the state.

Recall that shortly after the APC announced the result of its primaries for Ovia Federal constituency and Edo Central Senatorial district by-election, Tenebe said ADC as a political party doesn’t exist in the state.

According to Tenebe “I am also sending a message to those who called themselves ADC in Edo State that they should be very careful because we only have PDP remaining and not ADC in Edo.

“So, if you want to identify with ADC, you have to leave Edo for us. That is my message to all of them,” he said.

Mr. Odion said Mr. Tenebe is disconnected from the reality on ground but it is not too late for him to embrace the true nature of things.

Odion’s words “The statement credited to Mr. Jarrett Tenebe claiming that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has no presence in Edo State is not only false but also laughably disconnected from the reality on ground.

“It is crystal clear—even to the blind and audible to the deaf—that the ADC is fast becoming the party of the people; borne out of the hunger for genuine change, and driven by widespread frustration caused by the failed leadership of the APC-led government.

“My candid advice to Mr. Tenebe and his allies is simple: they should stop undermining the democratic process and instead embrace issue-based and ideology-driven political engagement. That is where the true beauty of democracy lies”.

He expressed hope that very soon that, the coalition movement and the ADC will become household names across Edo State and Nigeria at large—anchored on the people’s trust and a clear vision for credible leadership.
