The Ambrose Alli University Alumni Association (AAUAA), Home Branch, is set to hold an emergency meeting of concerned financial members and stakeholders as efforts intensify to resolve the lingering impasse arising from the branch’s inconclusive election.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at the Senior Staff Club, Ambrose Alli Hall, opposite Esan West Local Government Council, Ekpoma.

The meeting is coming at a critical stage in the post-election developments, following the commencement of work by the Election Appeal Committee constituted to consider petitions arising from the aborted election.

In a notice signed by Comr. Dr. Obasanmi Jude, Mr. Austin Onobhayedo, Mr. Jerry Ugbogbo, Mrs. Ashaka Gladys, Dr. Mamudu Udoh, and Zebede Okechukwu James on behalf of the Steering Group of Concerned Financial Members and Stakeholders, members were informed that the Appeal Committee had officially commenced its assignment and had invited aggrieved members to submit petitions concerning the inconclusive election.

The petition window, according to the notice, commenced from September 3, 2026, giving affected members one week to present their grievances to the committee.

The emergency meeting is therefore expected to provide an opportunity for concerned members to deliberate on the appropriate strategy for presenting their petitions and to determine the group’s next steps in seeking a credible resolution to the election crisis.

The stakeholders disclosed that they had previously engaged key figures within the alumni association, including the Worldwide President, Dr. Clifford Imade Omozeghian, Esq., to draw attention to concerns surrounding the conduct of the election as well as the constitution of the Appeal Committee.

However, they noted that some of the fundamental issues raised in their earlier letters had yet to be adequately addressed, even as the Appeal Committee has now commenced its work.

The organisers said deliberations at Tuesday’s meeting would focus particularly on the concerns contained in their petition to the Worldwide President, while the detailed agenda would be disclosed during the meeting.

They urged all concerned financial members and stakeholders to attend, stressing that their active participation was essential at what they described as a pivotal moment in the effort to restore stability and credibility to the Home Branch.

The group also appealed to members to be punctual, given the limited timeframe within which petitions are expected to be submitted to the Appeal Committee.
