A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe has told those who are nursing the idea of contesting the presidential election against President Bola Tinubu in 2027 to abort the thought, saying Tinubu is destined to remain in power until 2031.
Igbokwe said this in his Facebook post.
Igbokwe urged other presidential candidates planning to win the presidency in 2027 to perish the thought.
According to him “If any presidential candidate is dreaming of winning presidential elections in 2027 I will advise that candidate to perish the thought till 2031.
“PBAT is destined to remain in the seat of power till 2031. He needs eight years to set the record straight.”
Recall that Tinubu emerged president for a four-year term under the APC platform in 2023, beating Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), among others.
The president is expected to seek re-election in 2027 for a final four-year term terminating in 2031.
