APC Convention: Our Delegates Not Stranded, Lagos Debunks Claim

By Ighomuaye Lucky. O

‎The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked online media reports claiming that party delegates from the state were stranded at transport terminals due to unpaid mobilisation funds, describing the report as deliberate misinformation.

‎The spokesman for the party, Seye Oladejo, denied that any of its delegates were stranded, insisting that all accredited delegates were transported to Abuja “in an orderly, coordinated, and comfortable manner” and provided with adequate accommodation upon arrival.

‎He said Lagos State delegates were not stranded at any airport or motor park, adding that the report was “sensational” and bore no relation to the facts on the ground.

‎Oladejo also said the party independently manages its own party finances and operations through established internal structures adding that it is not the state government as it was peddled in some quarters.

‎The Lagos APC went further to question the credibility of the publication, accusing the outlet of a persistent pattern of publishing falsehoods for “ulterior purposes”.

‎The statement urged the public to “approach sensational headlines with caution” and rely only on verified sources.
