The Benue State Commissioner of Police, CP Ifeanyi Emenari has confirmed the release of 13 remaining passengers, including the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination candidates kidnapped from an 18-seater Benue Links bus.
The Commissioner who has not said much about their release, assured to brief the media with the details as soon as possible.
According to reports, eight of those kidnapped, who were JAMB candidates, were heading to Otukpo for their exam when they were kidnapped.
It was learnt that security operatives intensified rescue efforts in the area, leading to the releasing of abductees.
Newstracktoday while quoting Sun Newspapers, said that the victims are reportedly receiving treatment at the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Otukpo.
