As part of his yearly philanthropic gesture to mark his birthday, Hon. Valentine Owamagbe Asuen, has extended his hand of fellowship and kindness to some major orphanages homes in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
Hon. Asuen, the Edo South All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial district who was the candidate for 2023 general election and Chief Executive Officer of DVD Oil and Gas Ltd, over the years, has engaged himself in the act of kindness with the aim to put smiles on the faces of the needy.
Despite the unfriendly economic atmospheric conditions of the country, he has been able to galvanize his outreach which includes DVD Queens and staff of DVD Oil and Gas to distribute food items to orphanages and other rehabilitation center in Benin City.
Their first point of call was at Iwinosa Orphanage at Sabayor Street off Stadium road Benin City where the team of DVD Queens and staffs were warmly received by the children and the management of the orphanage.
Speaking, Mrs. Omo Omoruyi (née Asuen) said the purpose of their visit is to share love and support in celebration of most distinguished Hon. Valentine Asuen’s birthday while reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the children’s wellbeing.
In response, the proprietress, Mrs. Vero Asemota, led heartfelt prayers.
She prayed that God Almighty should continue to bless the birthday celebrant and donor who has chosen to make life worthwhile for the less privileged especially those in the orphanages homes.
The children Children whose joy knew no bounds danced and showered unending encomiums on Hon. Valentine Asuen for remembering them.
For Mrs. Stella Ogbeta, Coordinator of the DVD Queens, said the gesture is to support them following the economic hardship noting that the move was facilitated by the chairman and CEO of DVD Oil and Gas.
The outreach continued with brief visits to My Mummy Orphanage and the Salvation Army Rehabilitation Center in Benin City where similar donations were made.
Recall that Hon Valentine Asuen before his aspiration into politics, has helped Edo people across parties divide.
His wish for the people is to create an egalitarian society where each individual will be self sustenance.
