The general overseer and founder of God’s Greater Grace General Assembly, Intl Incorporated, Benin City, Reverend Sunny Akenbor has tasked believers in Christ to deploy the powers of prayers to conquer high-wired conspiracies against them.
He gave the task while speaking during the Sunday church service in Benin
Rev. Akenbor said some of the conspiracies are coded in form of letters and are sent as parcels to their targets.
Akenbor said letter is very important in our day-to-day life as one of the official means of communications.
The general overseer of the church said it was effectively deployed from the biblical days to convey messages of deaths, promotions and demotions and it wielded enormous power especially when bearing the king’s seal.
The firebrand cleric said up to this present day, it has not changed noting that it could have been in a form of petition to either to the law enforcement agencies or government and actions are being taken against the person the petition is written against.
He said at times, the petition is cleverly and maliciously written just to witch-hunt an individual.
Taking his bible reading from 1 Kings 21:8, Jezebel writes letters in King Ahab’s name, seals them with his seal, and sends them to the elders and nobles in Naboth’s city.
He said these letters were part of her plot to falsely accuse and execute Naboth, enabling Ahab to take possession of Naboth’s vineyard.
Explaining further, he referenced 2 Samuel 11: 15 to showcase how letters have been wrongfully deployed in the past.
“In it he wrote, “Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and die”, 2 Samuel 11:15.
The clergyman who was speaking on the topic: “Reply my letter” said Naboth and David because of the fit of the moment, might not have had the chance to table their petitions before God but those who did, had things worked out in their own favour.
He said Esther had almost a similar experience.
“Dispatches were sent by couriers to all the king’s provinces with the order to destroy, kill and annihilate all the Jews—young and old, women and children—on a single day, the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month of Adar, and to plunder their goods”, Esther 3:13
He said when a high profiled conspiracy was made against her (Esther ) and her people, she called for a fast for three days among her people and the table turned around for her good.
“But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows. Esther 9:25
He assured the christian faithful that God will always come through for them whenever there is a gang up against them.
“Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake”, Isaiah 54:15 states.
He further admonished the christian faithful to always seek the face of God and never give up because God Himself has turned nations against themselves because of prayers being made to Him, stressing that Him alone has the power to reply any wrong letters on their behalf.
