The general overseer and founder, God’s Greater Grace General Assembly Intl Incorporated, Benin, Rev. Sunny Akenbor, has warned Christians against making costly mistakes.
He gave the warning while speaking on the topic “Breaking Barriers and Limitations at the church service in Benin City.
Taking his bible reading from the book of 1 Chronicles 21: 7, 14, Ecclesiastics 10:4, Numbers 22:24, 25:2 respectively, he said, some of the things that happened to believers, are due to the manipulations of the devil and the consequences are very severe.
Rev. Akenbor said King David went against the instruction of God to number the children of Israelites despite the warning from God not to do so.
Akenbor said that, such act was the manipulations of the devil and he went ahead with the enumeration.
He said the aftermath of that single manipulation was a monumental disaster to the people of Israelites.
According to him “So, the Lord sent pestilence upon Israel and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men”
He said Satan manipulates situation to cause delay and disappointment in the lives of the children of God by allowing them to make the wrong decisions like Adam and Eve did in the garden of Eden.
He said the purpose was to dislodge them from the garden which he actually achieved when they part took of the forbidden fruit.
He assured believers that God is able to restore all that have been stolen from His children and that what is needed for everyone, is to turn to Him just as he admonished them not to give in to the manipulations of the devil.
