The assistant pastor of God’s Greater Grace General Assembly (GGGGA), Int’l Incorporated, Benin, Pastor Duke Iyamu, has admonished christian faithful to stop magnifying their problems above the blessings of God in their lives.
He gave the advice while speaking on the topic: “The benefits of serving God” during the Sunday church service in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
Pastor Iyamu said it is baffling that some christians have long catalogues of things requested for but not yet meant than the numerous blessings of God upon their lives.
Iyamu told members that the ability to sleep and wake up is one of the greatest blessings that believers should be grateful to God for, stressing that, many who began the year with them, are no more, yet those who are alive, hale and hearty are busy ruminating on request yet to be fulfilled.
Iyamu added that such act is a mark of ingratitude and should not be cultivated by believers.
Speaking on the subject matter of the day, he defined benefit as profit derived for rendering goods and services for someone, adding that as it applies to the circular world, so it is to services to God.
He said for them to be rewarded, they have to look at the nature of services they are offering to God whether they are good enough to be paid for or not.

Reading from Psalm 103:1-5, the clergyman enumerated five benefits that accrue from serving God wholeheartedly. They include: Forgiveness, healing, redemption, crowning believers with His loving kindness and satisfying His children with good things.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
“Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
“Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
“Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s”, Psalm 103:1-5
The assistant pastor of the church maintained further that now that believers are abreast with all the benefits connected to serving God, everyone should strive to give his all and expect their blessings on earth and hereafter.
