The Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Funsho Adegboye has admonished citizens of the state to be security conscious and report any incident of crime in their localities to the nearest police stations or other security agencies.

This advice was contained in a statement signed by the CP, Adegboye and made available to newsmen in Benin through the command’s image maker, SP Chidi Nwabuzor.

While assuring that the police are well prepared on their own to secure the lives and property of the citizens, the CP Adegboye, directed all the Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Heads of Departments and Operation Commanders to beef-up security in the state during the period of Easter celebration.

He also asked them to ensure the deployment of police personnel to all locations and to conduct raid operations in all the black spots and criminal hides in the state.

Adegboye further directed the officer in charge of Motor Traffic Division to position his personnel in strategic traffic prone areas in the state to ensure a free flow vehicular and pedestrians (human)traffic.

He said the Police Marine Officer should take charge of the water ways and ensure adequate security of citizens that travel through the water space.
