Economic Hardship: EDHA Member To Provide Life Lines For Business Owners, Plans Interest Free Loan For Constituency

Member representing Oredo West Constituency at the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA), on the platform of the Labour Party (LP), Hon. Dr. Richard Osaro Edosa is set to provide a life line to business owners and for intending ones by providing an interest free loan to those in the 12 wards that make up his constituency to boost their businesses.

He disclosed during a town hall meeting with members of his Constituency in Benin.

Hon. Edosa said that the loan which will be given, will be return in due course so that those who have not benefited, can also benefit.

Edosa added that for small businesses to thrive, they have to be assisted financially with soft loans to enable them meet up and remain in business.

The Lawmaker, while reeling out some of his achievements within the nine months, such as carrying out of free surgeries for some indigent persons across the party’s divides, payments of JAMB fees, scholarships and other notable welfare programmes for his constituency, said the primary function of a legislator is to make law and carry out oversight functions.

He said the essence for the town hall meeting is to get their pulses and know when and how to serve them better.

Speaking, the Oredo Chairman of Labour Party, Comrade Paul Enomayo, said the party didn’t make any mistake for casting their votes for him, noting that the party didn’t choose a selfish person but one who is selfless and with the capacity to deliver the dividends of democracy to his constituency.

 

He charged the party faithful not to be despair or look down on the party as it is set to change the political narrative of the state.

Comrade Enomayo further tasked the would-be beneficiaries of the interest free loan to make judicious use of the money and not to use it to buy clothes or otherwise just as he urged them to ensure that they return the money so that those who have not benefited, would benefit.
