The general overseer and founder of God’s Greater Grace General Assembly Intl Incorporated, Benin, Rev Sunny Akenbor, has said that there is still hope for the country despite the present daunting economic challenges confronting it.
He gave the assurance while speaking on the topic “By this time tomorrow” taking from the book of II Kings 7:1-2
Rev. Akenbor said our tomorrow is in the hands of God who is able to turn things around like in the time past.
Akenbor said that the present economic situation in the country is not new on the surface of the earth noting that, it was worse then,so much so that people were feasting on their children.
The general overseer of the church said it took a word from a prophet of God (Elisha) for things to be turned around and it behooves on us to believe.
According to him “Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
“Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof”.
He maintained that Nigerians must believe, keep hope alive because there are better days ahead.
He urged them to be positive in their thinking and what they say to themselves because God wants to hear them speak for Him to act and when He acts, things will turn around for the better.
He admonished the christian faithful that God is not giving up in their case and that of Nigeria.
He further called on christian faithful to always pray for the leadership of this country for God’s directions.
