A distinguished entrepreneur and philanthropist, Mr. Festus Ogboi, has been nominated for the Prestigious Best of Edo Award, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to business development, employment creation, and community growth across Edo State and beyond.
Born and raised in Benin City, Edo State, Festus Ogboi is the General Managing Director of Onus Oil and Gas, with its corporate office located at 240 Murtala Mohammed Way, Benin City.
His business interests also extend internationally as a part-owner of Festac Lounge in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and locally as the Chief Executive Officer of York V Hotel & Suite, strategically situated at 1 Ifueko Close, opposite Oko Central, Airport Road, Benin City.
Expressing his appreciation upon receiving news of the nomination, Mr. Ogboi said, “It’s truly a privilege to be part of this award. I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you. You’ve been amazing brothers and sisters and your support has played a big role in helping me stand firm as an employer of labour — which, to me, is one of the ways I can give back meaningfully to society.”

The 8th Edition of the Prestigious Best of Edo Award is scheduled to hold on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub, Airport Road, Benin City, under the theme: “Ideas in Motion.”
