Edo Deputy Governor, Omobayo Urges NAWOJ On Ethical Standard

Edo State deputy governor, Engr. Marvellous Omobayo, has urged the State Chapter of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists(NAWOJ), to adhere to the ethical standard of the profession.

He said this when he received a delegation of the association in his office in Benin.

Engr. Omobayo said that as women in the profession, they should remain a shinning light to others women.

Omobayo commended the women journalists for making their marks in the profession that is largely dominated by men.

The state deputy governor however used the opportunity of the visit to re-emphasized his maximum support for the state Governor, Godwin Obaseki so that he can finish strong on his Make Edo Great Again (MEGA) project.

Earlier, the Chairperson of the Edo NAWOJ, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan, said the visit was to congratulate the deputy governor on his elevation to the position of the number two citizen of the state.

She said the visit was also aimed at strengthening the synergy and exploring areas of collaboration to promote the development of journalism and women empowerment in the state.
