Edo Gov Condoles Idahosa Over Mother’s Death, Prays For Family

The Executive Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has commiserated with the Deputy Governor, RT. Hon Dennis Idahosa, and his family on the death of his mother, Mrs. Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa.

Newstracktoday reports that Mrs. Esther died on April 8, 2026, at the ripe age of 95.

A statement signed by the Governor, he described her passing as a deeply painful loss, noting that the death of a mother, regardless of age, leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of her loved ones.

Governor Okpebholo acknowledged the remarkable life she lived, marked by love, sacrifice, and devotion to family, adding that her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.

He prayed that Almighty God grants the Deputy Governor and the entire Idahosa family the strength, courage, and fortitude to bear this great loss, while also praying for the peaceful repose of her soul.

The Governor reaffirmed that the thoughts and prayers of the Government and good people of Edo State are with the Deputy Governor and his family during this period of mourning.
