The political jet of the Edo State All Progressives Congress (APC) has further crash landed following the decamping of its State Vice Chairman and top shot of the party from the Edo Central senatorial District, Chief Francis Inegbeneki.
His decamping came as a rude shock and a last straw that is breaking the camel’s back.
In a letter of resignation which he personally signed and that is making the rounds, he said that the decision though painful but it was in the best interest of his people, which are the people of the Esan extraction.
Chief Inegbeneki also known as the Uzoya of Esanland, said he has put in 25 years of his into the party and has not been found wanting in any of the areas financially or otherwise.
While maintaining that his desire to quit the party is tough, said he has also consulted widely with his family, friends and associates and that he has no regret of doing so.
He however stressed that he still remains friends to those in the party and that he believes in the course of a better Edo State and by extension, Nigeria.
