A governorship aspirant on the platform of the Labour Party (LP), Edo State, Mr. Tom Iseghohi, has said that he is not going to be a diaspora governor but one with a global experience to turn the fortune of the state around if elected governor of the state.
He said this while reacting to a question during a chat with newsmen in Benin City.
He said he has been back to Nigeria since 2007 and that he has also done businesses in the country.
“I am not a diaspora governor. I am somebody who has global experience. That doesn’t make me a diaspora governor.
“I have been back home since 2007. So, 2007 till now, is a long time.
“I have done things in Nigeria that no other Nigerians has ever done.
“I am more experienced in Nigeria than most Nigerians.
“I have run three companies in Nigeria. I have interacted with the Nigerian’s president, with the Nigerian’s governors, with the Nigerian’s ministers and I have also interacted with the Nigerian’s law enforcement agencies”, Iseghohi said.
Iseghohi said that he is in the race to serve the over five million people of the state with his wealth of experiences and nothing more.
He maintained that he will accept the outcome of the election if it is free, fair and credible but would only challenged it if he is being cheated.
The governorship aspirant added that money will not be a problem for him to pursue his noble goal, adding that, he is very ready for other political parties that want to flex muscles with him.
