Edo Human Rights Activist, Edigin Dedicates Award To Fallen Heroes

A renowned human rights activist and former Public Relations Officer of the Edo Civil Society Organizations (EDOCSO), Leftist Osazee Edigin, has dedicated his newly bagged Merit Award from the Reliance Newspapers to those who have paid the supreme prize while in the course of fighting for the emancipation of others all over the world.

Edigin who was presented with the award in recognition of his fearless defence and protection of human rights of the people of Edo state and beyond by the Reliance Newspapers, said the award will spur him to do more for humanity.

He said everyone’s rights must be protected and that when the rights of individual is abused, the civil society groups step in to ensure that justice is served.

Edigin added that he was just doing what he knows how to do best because he hates injustice and that he believes that, an injustice to one, it is an injustice to all.

The human rights activist said that everyone must learn to speak up for the voiceless in the society, stressing that, that is the only way the world can be a better place for all of us.

The former Public Relations Officer who did not forget the recent fallen hero of EDOCSO, Leftist Eugene Asemota, prayed that God should grant him eternal rest.
