Edo NNPP Benches Two For Alleged Anti-Party’s Activities

The Edo Central Vice Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP), Hon Fidelis Odiase and Patrick Alikali, a leader in the party have been placed on the back bench (suspended) indefinitely for alleged anti-party activities by the Edo State Chairman, Mr Fred Uwangue.

Their suspension was handled to them after a long meeting with the state leadership of the party.

In a letter signed by the state secretary of the party, Mr. F Okodolor and made available to Journalists, said, the erring leaders were suspended for alleged “anti-party activities, insubordination and actions capable of bringing the party into disrepute among others”

It should be noted that the suspended leaders of the party, were alleged to have been campaigning for the opposition party via online platforms.

This, according to the chairman, threatens to cause disaffection within the party but thanks to the timely intervention of the state party Exco”.

Contacting Mr. Fidelis on phone to get his reactions, he picked up his call but when the reporter told him why he was calling, he aborted the call. Several calls made to him afterwards were left unanswered.
