Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, Dr. Festus Alenkhe, has been presented with a Doctoral Fellowship Award by the Institute of Public Sector Management (IPSM), United Kingdom(UK).
The event which held in London, UK, had in attendance the President of IPSM, Dr. Samatha Radford.
The IPSM which has been in existence since 1982, is a global body for public sector professionals.
Presenting the award to Alenkhe, President, IPSM, Dr. Samatha Radford, said Dr. Alenkhe undoubtedly deserves the Doctoral Fellow Award having attained the prerequisite knowledge and understanding of what management of public sector professionals entails.
She described Dr. Alenkhe as a seasoned professional Journalist who has demonstrated a commendable zeal in the actualization of notable developmental goals.
Also speaking, a member of the Governing Council, of lPSM, Dr. Lanre Sharafa, who described Dr. Alenkhe’s interest for professionalism as uncommon, affirmed that the Institute painstakingly monitored the awardee over the years and found him worthy of the honour.
According to Dr. Sharafa, the award is in recognition of Dr. Alenkhe’s track record of huge contributions and impact in the public sector which has been effectively monitored.
On his part, the awardee, Dr. Alenkhe attributed the recognition to his desire to make life meaningful for humanity.
The immediate younger brother of the awardee, Mr. Ephraim Alenkhe, who described Dr. Alenkhe’s giant strides in the public sector as outstanding, said the awardee’s steadfast commitment, dedication and selfless service both in public sector and other endeavours have endeared him to all who come in contact with him.
