The Director Operations and Rescue Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, Dr. Alero Abokwara Adjekota has communicated the Management’s decision on the appointment of Eberechukwu Caleb Odunze as the Acting Regional Secretary for the South South Regional Command.
Newstracktoday reports that Odunze is the Edo State Commander of Man O War Nigeria.
His appointment was contained in a statement signed by him (Dr. Alero Abokwara Adjekota) and made available to Journalists in Benin.
Dr. Adjekota said the appointment followed his excellent performance in an earlier interview which he participated in.
His words “I am pleased to inform you that consequent upon your brilliant performance in the just concluded interview to fill the available vacancies from the last appointment exercise, the management has approved your appointment as the Acting Regional Secretary for the South South Regional Command with effect from 1st September, 2025.
“You are to work with the National Commander and other National officers to promote virtues and ethics of Man O War Nigeria.
“Hearty Congratulations and my best wishes,”
Responding to the appointment, Mr. Eberechukwu Caleb Odunze thanked Man O War Nigeria for the confidence reposed in him, assuring the body of his sincere commitment to its growth.
Odunze who has served in various capacities from unit, area and state command before he was appointed Commander of Man O War Edo State in January 2018 before his new appointment as the Acting Regional Secretary South South Regional Command, said it is a clarion call for him to redouble his efforts to the cause of humanity.
The seasoned and trained Volunteer who has put in more than 20 years of active service in Man O War Nigeria and has attended several professional and leadership training courses which include, Citizenship & Leadership training courses from Sherehills Jos, Sea School Logos, Forest School Porthacourt, Women unit Delta and others, said he accepted the appointment wholeheartedly.
Newstracktoday reports that the man Odunze was awarded the Man O War Service shield medal, Distinguished Service shield respectively for his immense contributions in uplifting the organization.
Some of the annual activities he has championed are the annual Commander Essay contest for young people and schools in Edo State, changing the narrative campaign and a front advocate for safe school.
He is also an Associate member of NISLT, member Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP), Alumni of SPPG, University of Benin. Trained for several capacity building skills by the Council of Europe, the Commonwealth on several, World Bank and Nigeria Government.
