EDOCSO Tasks Members On Regular Medical Check Up

A group, Edo Civil Society Organisations (EDOCSO), has charged its members on regular medical check up so as to know their health status and avoid sudden breakdown.

The group made the call in its monthly combined general assembly meeting on Saturday 13th April 2024 in Benin City.

The TEC chairman of the group, Leftist Austine Enabulele said in order to make the access to regular check up possible for its members, there can be possible collaboration with hospitals were members can go for affordable health care or register for health insurance scheme.

Leftist Enabulele who also used the medium to call for a minute silence in honour of late leftist Eugene Asemota who passed on earlier this month, and a condolence visit paid to his family, appreciated all members that were present and charged them to always been committed to the organization’s welfare.

The meeting which was presided by the Interim TEC chairman, Leftist Austine Enabulele also took the house through some sections of the 1999 constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria as amended, which are section 186, 187, and 188.

They were read and well explained to those who were in attendance.

The sections talked about the establishment of the office of the Deputy of Governor, removal of the governor and deputy governor of a state.

New members were also welcome to the network and introduced to their new study groups.

Recall that Edo Civil Society Organisations is a network of several affiliate groups and community based formations known as study centres which are spread across the state.

Its main focus is the promotion of good governance, social justice and human rights.
