Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), have nabbed Kelly Okungbowa also known as Ebo Stone for allegedly abusing the naira.
His arrest was contained in a press statement signed by Dele Oyewale Head, Media and Publicity and made available to Journalists.
Newstracktoday reports that Okungbowa, until recently was the coordinator of the Edo State Public Safety Response Team, (PSRT), now suspended by the State Government.
He was seen in a viral video where he was spraying and mutilating the naira at a bar on March 9, 2025.
According to Oyewale, he will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
