A former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) Rt. Hon Frank Okiye has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This was contained in a letter dated Friday, May 10, 2024, addressed to the Ward 3 chairman of the party in Arue-Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area.

“On behalf of my family and supporters, I thank you and others for the opportunity given to me to serve while in the party,” Okiye said.

The former speaker was, however, silent on his next political move and added that his reasons for quitting the PDP was personal.
