Former Public Relations Officer of the Edo Civil Society Organizations (EDOCSO), Leftist Osazee Edigin has commended the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) of the Edo State Ministry of Justice.

He said the commendation was based on their ability to have given reports on every case at their disposal during the visit of the Chief Judge (CJ) of Edo State, Justice Daniel Okungbowa to Correctional Centres alongside members of the Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee (ACJMC).

Recall that the (CJ), Justice Okungbowa has pardoned four inmates due to the non availability of case files in his ongoing visits to Old Benin Correctional Centers.

The freed inmates were in Oko and Old Benin Correctional Centers in the South Districts of the state.

Leftist Edigin who was recently presented with the award in recognition of his fearless defence and protection of human rights of the people of the state and beyond by the Reliance Newspapers, said what the ministry has done has enhanced the confidence of the people on the staff of the ministry.

Edigin said that this has made the people of the state to know that they are capable of carrying out their assignments and ensuring justice is no longer delayed and denied in the state.
