Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi has broken his silence on the reasons behind his leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He blamed his exit on the former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, saying they took over the party’s political structure in the state.
Newstracktoday reports that he revealed this while speaking on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’,
Amaechi, who is a former minister of transportation, said he was chased out of the party by Jonathan and his wife Patience.
The 60 years old politician added that, he experienced the same thing with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“I was literally chased out of the PDP… the president, Goodluck and his wife, took over the political structure in Rivers state and forced me out. The same thing happened in APC.
“I will never keep quiet in the face of injustice. When I speak up, they begin to plan to make me irrelevant,” Amaechi vowed.
