The general overseer and founder of God’s Greater Grace General Assembly Intl Incorporated, Benin Rev Sunny Akenbor has said that God can only use a person because such one is already in His agenda.
He declared this while speaking on the topic: “Unlimited favour part 1, during the Sunday church service in Benin.
Rev. Akenbor said that because one is already in God’s agenda, no matter what the enemies might plan against such one, such plans can never see the light of the day.
Akenbor who took some of his bible readings from the book of Genesis 50:17-21, said Joseph was the 11th child of Jacob who was sold into slavery by his own siblings adding that despite all that was done to him, because he was in God’s plans to use him to save his brothers from hunger in the future, he was allowed to go through all those tough roads and hurdles.
“Say to Joseph, “Please forgive the transgression of your brothers and their sin, because they did evil to you.” ’ And now, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.”
“Joseph wept when they spoke to him. His brothers also came and fell down before him and said, “Behold, we are your servants.” But Joseph said to them, “Do not fear, for am I in the place of God?
” As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
“So do not fear; i will provide for you and your little ones.” Thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them”, Genesis 50:17-21.
He noted further that before God decides to put one in His original plan, He must have search your heart and found out that you are compassionate and not egocentric.
He said Esther in the bible was also a prototype of a selfless and compassionate woman who stood in the gap for her people despite all odds.
“Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish”, Esther 4:16.
The clergyman however reminded Christian faithful that whatever positions they found themselves, they should used it to serve God and humanity and should not be arrogant because power and positions are transients, God takes and gives to whoever He deems fit.
He reiterated that all that God has used to reach out to His children, have all found unlimited favour in the sight of God and they never blew their chances away, except King Saul.
“And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed thee king over Israel?”, 1 Samuel 15:17.
