The children who featured in Survival of the fittest, Newscasting, drama, breakdance, and other varieties to spice up the day, gave a good account of themselves to the admirations of the congregation and to the glory of God.
In the Survival of the fittest competition, Master Agbonmere Anthony and Master Kelly Igbeare stood out among other contenders.
Master Kelly Igbeare, aged, 13, a junior secondary school student of Oguola College, Benin, who emerged the winner of the competition, while addressing newsmen after the breathtaking competition, said that he feels great having won it in the previous year and today, he has maintained the same feat.
Speaking on the theme of the day, which is taken from the book of Genesis 1:26-28 and Revelation 5:10 respectively, the children’s coordinator, Pastor Rebecca Aigbokhaibholo, said that for them (children) to rule their world, they must have to present themselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is their reasonable service.
She reminded them of those who were able to rule their world for Christ in the past, persons like David, the three Hebrew children, Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego and Daniel who was thrown into the den of lions.
Pastor Aigbokhaibholo said all those who were persecuted because they refused to sin against God, non was hurt rather they remain strong and vibrant for the Lord.
Aigbokhaibholo said further that for them to have their inheritance in Christ, they must remain truthful, serve God in spirit and in the truth just as she urged them to know who they are in Christ, think big and do big things.
