The Edo State Police command said it has nabbed a 31-year-old woman, Abigail Oluwarotimi, for allegedly burning her house help with a hot metal object.
The suspect who is being charged with violent assault, reportedly carried out the heinous act on Saturday, January 11, 2025, in Uromi, Esan North-East Local Government Area of the State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Moses Yamu, who confirmed it in a statement, said the 15-year-old victim, Jude Joseph, sustained injuries on his laps and genitals.
“Abigail Oluwarotimi heated a metal object in fire and used it to inflict burns on her house help by name Jude Joseph ‘m’ aged 15 years. As a result, the victim sustained injuries on his laps and genitals.
“The suspect was promptly arrested. She confessed to the crime and blamed her action on the allegation that the boy molested her children,” the statement said.
“The victim is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
