Men of the Edo State Police command and the vigilantes have arrested a-27-year-old man with fresh human head in Benin.
The suspects identified as Uwadiae Airebiuwa, was said to have been arrested by security operatives on Friday at Evbuotubu quarters in Egor Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement made available to Journalists in the state by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP. Moses Yamu noted that: “upon interrogation, the suspect took them (security) to a decapitated body of a man along the road near Eweka Shopping Plaza.”
The statement maintained that the deceased was thereafter identified by a family member as Edobor Lawrence, 43, of No. 1 Osagie Street, Evbuotubu quarters.
He said the deceased has been evacuated to the hospital for preservation, while investigation continues.
He said the State Commissioner of Police, CP Betty Otimenyin has “sympathized with the family of the deceased and assured them that the command will not rest until all those involved in this heinous crime are brought to book.
“She further advised young persons to seek legitimate means of making money rather than venturing into crime.”
