Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (Kogi Central) has refuted the news making the rounds that she has apologised to the Senate over the issue that led to her six-month suspension.

Akpoti-Uduaghan issued a statement on Monday calling the claims “false and misleading,” and stating that she stands by her comments and conduct.

She criticized people disseminating falsehoods of misrepresenting the facts and deceiving the public.

The senator said she is still devoted to protecting her citizens’ rights and would not be frightened into submission.

She also claimed that certain people were coordinating a plot to silence her, advising Nigerians to be wary of disinformation.

Akpoti-Uduaghan highlighted that any formal announcements from her would only come through certified channels.

“This is not just about me; it is about the integrity of our democracy. I will not be intimidated or forced into submission through false narratives,” Akpoti-Uduaghan said.
