The Onojie of Uromi in Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State, His Royal Highness Anslem Edenojie, has demanded the sum of N100 million as cash homage for parcels of land.

He made the demand when he appeared before the Edo State Private Properties Protection Committee, headed by Hon. Justice Alero Edodo-Eruaga.

The Royal father who came to defend his role in the land dispute involving him as Respondent and David Ikhuoria, as Petitioner, said that the land is measured in five different parcels with various dimensions of measurements.

Responding, counsel to the petitioner, informed the Committee that his client cannot afford such huge sum of money, having earlier paid the sum of N3.5m as development levy.

Having listened to both parties arguments, the Committee, however directed the Onojie to go back to his dukedom and look into the matter with a view to resolving the grey issues before the May 9 adjournment.
