Idahosa Moses Law firm, Benin City says it is disputing a funeral media announcement of the Managing Director of SDD Motors Ltd, Mr Andrew Uangbaoje wherein the name of the eldest surviving son of the deceased, Mr Ozoya Benedict Uangbaoje was allegedly omitted.
In a statement signed and made available to journalists in Benin City, ldahosa Moses Esq., described the burial announcement where they erroneously removed the name of the eldest surviving son as misleading and mischievous.
The law firm said they have the authority of their client to say that, such assertion is a sophism wherein such persons perpetuating the act want to reap where they did not sow.
The statement also said the burial ceremony championed by Mr Nicholas Uangbaoje and others without recourse to the deceased first son, Mr Ozoya Benedict Uangbaoje is a hoarse and likened to a comedy show adding that, such burial is also an inhumane treatment to the eldest son.
The statement further said the matter will be subject of a litigation in due course and advised members of the public to disregard the media report as it is a clear fact that Mr Ozoya Benedict Uangbaoje is the eldest surviving son of late Mr Andrew Uangbaoje, the Managing Director of SDD Motors Ltd as there was no quarrel between son and father all the years.
It was also stated that, Mr Uangbaoje has been paying the son’s university fees till he passed on recently and wondered why some persons in the family now choose to disown the boy after the death of his father.
The law firm assured that Mr Andrew Uangbaoje, the Managing Director of SDD Motors will be reburied by his first son, Mr Ozoya Benedict Uangbaoje at the appropriate time.
