Mr. Sunday Jackson, a Christian from Adamawa who was sentenced to death by hanging for disarming and killing a fulani terrorist, has been granted pardon by the Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

Recall that the Fulani terrorist invaded and attacked him in his own farm but he (Sunday) overwhelmed him and killed him (terrorist) in self-defense.

Sunday was taken to court and was remanded in Kuje Medium Security Custodial Centre, Abuja.

However, it was said that the international communities were not pleased with the Nigerian government for remanding him for killing in self-defense.

Consequently, the United States of America Congressman, Riley Moore ask the federal government to release him unconditionally.

Reacting to the release of the Christian farmer, Sunday Jackson, who was sentenced to death by the Adamawa State High Court, the United States of America Congressman, Riley Moore said, “…Sunday Jackson has been pardoned,” adding that the Nigerian government still needs to do more.

Moore said he has been seeing some positive moves by the government of Nigeria since his visit to the country, adding, “my concerns and the concerns of President Trump are being taken seriously by the Nigerian government.”

The lawmaker commended the administration of Bola Tinubu for showing willingness to engage the American government to seek ways to better the security situation in Nigeria.

Moore warned that nothing must be allowed to happen to the pardoned Christian farmer, asking government at all levels to ensure his security.

Newstracktoday reports that Sunday Jackson was granted Christmas pardon after much pressure from Donald Trump.
