The Executive Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has warned against harassing Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, saying that Nigerians should wait for the outcome of the forensic analysis.

He said the agency has subjected the viral video of his alleged naira abuse to forensic analysis and that its outcome will determine if he is innocent or not.

Olukoyede stated this in an interview, a snippet video of which was shared on social media over the weekend.

Recall that on May 12, the EFCC said that Tompolo had questions to answer, after a video of his performance at a public function generated online buzz amid allegations of naira abuse.

However, the EFCC boss warned against his harassment over mere allegations, noting that every Nigerian deserves fair hearing.

“We have invited Tompolo. The whole Nigerians know that and we said there is no one that is above the law.

“Nobody should go and condemn Tompolo for the allegation. It is a mere allegation for now.

“When he comes, we look at it. We have subjected the video to forensic analysis. We have to do that because these days people can impose…

“We have invited him. Not until we conclude the case, we cannot say Tompolo is guilty or not.

“We must give every Nigerian fair hea

ring”, Olukoyede said.
