He said, the initiative is part of the strategic plans to assist members who want to either setup businesses of their own or expand their business ventures.

“So, for me, I will say the NIFOR Child Trust 1979 – 1983, we are launching what we call the Business Support Scheme and this is to support members who have business ideas and those who are already into businesses that are members of the NIFOR Childhood Friends 1979 – 1983 Association”, Ekhomogiazin said.
A Committee has been constituted to drive this idea and we are all encouraged to cooperate with the team.
Members of the Business Support Scheme Committee include;
1. Barr. Agbonifo Osazee – Chairman
2. Mr. Okotubu Innocent – Vice Chairman
3. Mrs. Chikere Sandra Ndudi – Secretary
4. Mrs. Okhiai Abigail – Member
5. Ms. Ozobeme Anwuli – Member
He said besides the launch of the Business Support Scheme, the association has served as an avenue to brainstorm, share ideas and forge a common front.
“Our vision is to continually see how we can rub minds together, foster peace among ourselves, cross-fertilize ideas, and network because most of us we are no longer together but again, we are now in what is called Global Village courtesy with the assistance of ICT that we are far apart, does not mean that we can’t chat”, he said.
Mr. Ekhomogiazin said Exco has approved 100% upward review of welfare support to members effective from January 1, 2026.

Mr. Ekhomogiazin, while extending his season’s greetings to all members of the association, he said the ongoing year was a potpourri of sweet, bitter and sour but God in His infinite mercy saw everyone through.
He said major successes were recorded, goals were set and meant in the year under review and for those who could not achieve their set goals, the remaining days should be periods to sit down, take a deep breath and look at for what could have caused the little setback.
He said the forthcoming year promises to be brighter and better for all members of the association.

He urged them to open up their minds and embrace the New Year with a new zeal, a great hope and optimism for the future only belongs to those who believe in their dreams.
