Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Others, Grace Edo NAWOJ Thanksgiving Service

The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady of Edo State, Mrs. Edesili Anani was part of the dignitaries that graced the Thanksgiving service organized by the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Edo State.

The epoch ceremony which is an annual event was held at the Central Baptist Church, Benin City.

The Thanksgiving service is meant to appreciate God for continuous protection of her members

In 2024 and also for the success of the association’s activities during the year.

The NAWOJ executives were led to the ceremony by its Chairperson, Adesuwa Ehimuan, compromising members and other invited guests.

The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Edo State, Mrs Edesili Anani, in her remarks, encouraged the women journalists to always put God first in all that they do as women and also abide by the ethics of their profession .

The event, which coincided with the church’s Praise Sunday, was marked by singing and dancing with the congregation expressing gratitude to God.

In his charge to the women, the Reverend in charge of Central Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Toku Aibuonomo, took his message from Psalm 136, urging them to put God first in all their endeavours.

He emphasized that God could use women to correct societal ills and prayed for their continued success.

Amongst those present at the Thanksgiving Service were Mr Patrick Ochoga, Chairman, Correspondents’ Chapel, NUJ Edo State, Mr. Friday Aghedo, Chief Press Secretary to the Edo State Deputy Governor and other respected journalists in the state.

The service also features special prayers and thanksgiving, reinforcing the association’s commitment to faith and professional excellence.
