The Edo State Government has dished out portfolios to the newly appointed commissioners.
In an official statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, it was said that Governor Monday Okpebholo has approved the reorganization to ensure that his administration’s SHINE Agenda aligns seamlessly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
As part of the restructuring, new ministries have been created while some previously moribund ones have been revived, bringing the total number of ministries in Edo State to twenty-eight (28).
According to the statement, the reform is designed to strengthen governance, improve coordination across key sectors, and boost the government’s capacity to deliver effectively on its mandate to the people of Edo State.

Governor Okpebholo reiterated his administration’s commitment to good governance, economic transformation, institutional efficiency, and inclusive development, stressing that the reforms reflect his vision of building a more responsive and people-centered government.
