Osaro Uwaifo Wins Primaries As Ogberaifo Udoh Clinches AAC Governorship Ticket

Edo State Chairman of Action Alliance, Mr Osaro Uwaifo has emerged as the Edo state Governorship candidate of the Action Alliance ahead of September 2024 Governorship election in the state.

Announcing the result in Benin City, Chairman of the Election Committee, Mr Vernimbe James said Mr Uwaifo polled a total of 43 votes out of the ninety delegate votes from the 18th Local Government Areas of EDO State to defeat his rivals, Mr Frederick Ighiwiyisi who had twenty votes and Mr Bright Olise who polled 15 votes.

Commenting on the development, the Action Alliance Edo Governorship candidate, Mr Uwaifo said the action will spur him to more work to occupy Dennis Osadebey avenue as the next governor of the state in other to rescue it from those that have impoverished Edo people.

In a related development, Mr Ogberaifo Udoh has emerged as the Edo State Governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, (AAC).

Declaring the result in Benin City, Chairman of the election Committee and the AAC National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Femi Adeyeye, said Mr Udoh polled a total of 60 Votes out of the delegates 90 votes of the 18 Local Government Areas of Edo State to defeat his closest rival, Mrs Edith Esopan who had 29 votes, and one void vote.

Reacting to the development, the AAC Edo Governorship candidate who dedicated the victory to the less privilege in the society, said with the gesture the party was now repositioned to take over the state of governance from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
