A chieftain of the Labour Party (LP), Edo State chapter, Comrade Oshobor Joachin, has joined millions of Nigerians within and outside the state to congratulate the former chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata for emerging victorious at the party’s governorship primaries in the state.
This was contained in a press statement personally signed and made available to newsmen in Benin City.
He said Akpata’s victory at the primaries did not come to him as a surprise because he has worked tirelessly to revamp the party adding that it was a victory well deserved.
“I use this platform to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Barr. Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata for his successful primary elections, which were notably distinct from any party’s previous conduct.
“His resounding victory across all senatorial districts of Edo State unequivocally affirms that unity is indeed power (EDO AGENDA IS POSSIBLE).
“From a journey where many doubted the possibility of securing the ticket, the landscape changed, and supporters, coordinators, and DGs transitioned from being perceived as adversaries to recognizing that he was the deserving candidate.
“Barr. Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata’s unprecedented contributions to the party’s growth, such as purchasing official vehicles and providing meaningful direction to wards and local governments, have left an indelible mark.
“He is a true leader poised to bring positive change to Edo, a state that has lacked effective governance for nearly eight years”, Oshobor said.
Oshobor also extended his heartfelt joy and congratulations to those who have worked assiduously for his (Akpata) victory.
“Special congratulations to Mr. Toju Williams for his outstanding leadership, and I express gratitude for his wisdom in guiding us towards Osadebe Avenue.
“To my fellow Honourable, Oriaki, Ero, Omozee, Edwin, Barr. Sylvanus, Mashido, Wisdom, Ugoke, Oriathokha, Onaivi, Godwin, Ibrahim, Ijiegbe, Rolland, Uyi, Happy, and Afua, your collective efforts were instrumental.
“Let’s intensify our work because Osadebe Avenue is very achievable.
“I must not fail to appreciate the contestants for putting up a good fight, you too are winners.
“For other campaign teams that worked tirelessly with us in the build up to the primaries, I say a big thank you, you guys are the real heroes”, Oshobor added.
