Protest:Give Tinubu’s Govt. Time To Implement Policies, Oba Of Benin Appeals To Nigerians

The Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, has appealed to the Nigerian youths to give the administration of President Bola Tinubu some time to implement its developmental policies, urging them ‘to shelve their planned protest’.

Recall that some youths had proposed August 1st 2024 to begin a 10-day nationwide hunger and hardship protest to draw the federal and state governments’ attention to the worsening plight of the Citizens

The Oba of Benin said in a statement, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Osaigbovo Iguobaro, appeals to aggrieved Nigerians to give the federal government enough time to implement its economic policy, which is expected to alleviate the present hardship being experienced by Nigerians.

The traditional ruler who stated that “for things to get better, it has to be tough for a while”, “appeals to the federal government to intensify efforts in the implementation of its economic and security policies”.
